We are delighted to be celebrating Global Accessibility Awareness Day with Ms. Khulood M. Al Haddad this Thursday, 21st of May 2020. Khulood Al Haddad is a Sr. Disability Consultant and trainer with extensive experience in training and content development in different fields, including education and disability. She trained more than (1,000) participant including a different range of audience. She also managed from 2014 to 2019 the Mowaamah Certification project which is owned by the Ministry of Labor and during this project, she trained representatives from giant companies on how to become inclusive to persons with disabilities as well as trained more certified auditor from local & international audit firms such as (Pwc, Earnest & Young, Deloitte, and Tala Abu Ghazaleh). She worked as a Teaching Assistant at Dar Al-Hekma University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Special Education from the same university and a master’s degree in Disability Studies from City University in New York, United States. She is also an Associate Specialist in the Certification of Disability Management Specialists Commission located at the United States of America.
In her talk, Ms. Khulood will introduce attendees to the concept of disability as a modern definition from a holistic perspective. She will also introduce various disability models and accommodations. She will also discuss the types of disability as an alternative concept, such as excluding access to media and communications – excluding access to social participation.
